25 toll booths in Tamil Nadu have been charged between 5 and 7 percent. The fare hike has been implemented from today (September 1).

The toll booths are under the control of the National Highways Authority. There are a total of 67 toll booths in Tamil Nadu. These toll booths are revised twice a year in the months of April and September.

In this context, the fares were not increased in April this year due to the parliamentary elections. In contrast, in June, fares were revised at 36 toll booths, where fare hikes of up to 5 percent were implemented.

In this situation, the fare has been increased at 25 more toll booths in Tamil Nadu today. 5 to 7 percent fee is charged.

This fare reduction is being implemented at 25 toll booths including Vikravandi, Ulundurpet, Samayapuram, Madurai Eliyarpatti, Omalur, Sriperumbudur, Walaja. Due to toll fluctuation, motorists may have to pay an additional toll of Rs.5 to Rs.150.
